Day One, NYC!!!

Said our goodbyes early this morning, thanks to Carol and Boyd for the early taxi service. The first bit of excitement was Janine seeing Robson Green in terminal 5.  Unfortunately Lloyd wasn't looking where he was walking so missed him. Sadly no upgrades but plenty of room on the flight meant we had a few seats to ourselves. Food was surprisingly OK actually although the second meal was delayed by some turbulence.

Once we had taken a cab into the city and had dumped our bags at Heather and Josh's place we took a walk down Broadway to Times Square, round the Empire State into Macys.  After an adventure in there to find a toilet we waited a few minutes for Josh and Heather and then took a ride on the subway to get burgers for dinner.  Not a bad first day, although very tiring.
