The weather was still fine when we returned to Devonport so we took Carol & Boyd up to North Head for some history, a stunning view and to explore the old tunnels. We also managed to meet up with Janine's old school friend Amy for a few ciders in the sunshine. On Carol & Boyd's final night we then headed up to Mount Victoria again for one last sunset, hopefully the photos do it justice.

We followed a similar schedule with my parents first day as we had with Janine's. We had to do two hills, Mounts Eden and Victoria, and have a massive burger in our favourite place in the Wynyard Quarter. Unfortunately the clouds had set in in the evening so the sunset wasn't as spectacular for them. The following Saturday we took them out to the west coast to Piha beach. The surfers were out in numbers as the swell was pretty big, but the water was freezing so nobody ventured in. After two days Caroline & Howard were already shattered from our tours, hopefully they can keep up in the South Island.
